Putting the antichrist in Christmas

In Arvada Colorado, there was a holiday parade in this, the Christmas season.  American Indian "holy people,"  gay people, Chinese New year floats, and others could march in this "parade of lights."  However, a local Christian church was denied a parade float in a Christmas parade!  I kid you not.

Now a city spokesman, Michael Krikorian, said that the parade does not allow "direct religious themes." This means that one cannot sing "Silent Night" or put "Merry Christmas" on a float in a Christmas parade!  A Christmas Parade!  By the way, this does not appear to apply to the American Indian "holy people," who marched in the parade.  It only applies to a church that worships the Man who is the central reason for the holiday (which by the way is an amalgam of "Holy Day") form which He is now banned!  Kirkorian, in a feat of mind-numbing hypocrisy, responded to this proposition that the gay Indians (this is not a typographical error) and the Chinese New Year dragons (meant to chase off evil spirits) were meant not to be a direct religious theme but rather a show of ethnic diversity.

"Such pure hypocrisy is a very thin veil over the anti-Christian bigotry that underpins the elite leftist liberal message.  Elite liberals hate Jesus Christ, and it’s becoming obvious."

Such pure hypocrisy is a very thin veil over the anti-Christian bigotry that underpins the elite leftist liberal message.  Elite liberals hate Jesus Christ, and it’s becoming obvious.  Why do you think that they are so desperate to find financial motives to try to mask their anti-Christian beliefs from the rank and file of the Democrat voting constituency?  If the elderly (who are by and large faithful) and African Americans (who are very faithful) get the idea that the party leaders are anti-God, then the GOP, which is a pro-God, pro-Faith party, will benefit.

But the GOP pummeled the left in the last election!  Why does it appear that things are worse for those who are faithful to Jesus Christ now?  The Arvada incident is not isolated.  In fact, down the street in Denver, the mayor (an elite leftist) was about to rip down a "Merry Christmas" sign and replace it with "Happy Holidays."  In my area, enviro-terrorists stole an illuminated baby Jesus from a suburban Chicago home and replaced it with a placard reading "Would Jesus want you to use this much electricity?"  That sneering taunt is offensive on so many levels.  But, while I kept getting angrier and angrier, I realized something important was in play here:  The wounded animal syndrome.

"When you boil the left’s dependence-generating arguments to their core, one thing is clear:  the elite left wants to replace God with themselves."

The elite left ideology is mortally wounded.  The people of America, those who Michael Moore blasphemously calls "Jesusland," have spoken.  Jesus has a place in the hearts and minds of the vast majority of this country’s people.  This leaves the left desperate and powerless.  When you boil the left’s dependence-generating arguments to their core, one thing is clear:  the elite left wants to replace God with themselves.  The people have eschewed dependence on the elites in favor of God-guided self-reliance.  This leaves a dangerous, mortally wounded beast (and yes I realize the Biblical implications of that word, and still use it intentionally), lashing out with its death throes.

Three years ago, the Arvada / Denver fiasco would never have made national news.  Now everyone knows it; the Chicago Tribune ran a long letter that prominently mentioned it this last Sunday.  The light of this publicity is killing the vampire of the left.  The desperate things you see now, where the left is trying to anti-Christ the Christmas season, is the last desperate futile spasm of the dying liberal behemoth.

How do we who know and believe upon Jesus react?  Simply put, with love.  It was Jesus who said to turn the other cheek.  It was Jesus who said "Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.  Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."  Matthew 5:11-12.  Jesus’ admonition to me seemed hard to swallow, since I tend to be combative.  Who would stick up for Jesus?  Well, I realized that he got up after being dead for three days; he is well able to handle some nasty socialists.

So to all of our readers, May God richly and wholly bless you during this Christmas Season, and I wish and pray for Peace on Earth, Good Will toward men.
