The story has broken.  Starting with Priscilla Owen, our beloved President’s nominee to the 5th appellate circuit, and then Janice Rogers Brown, nominated to the DC appellate circuit, our hero of the Constitution, Senator Bill Frist of Tennessee (what a wonderful man from a wonderful state) will push for the votes that these excellent jurists have been wrongly denied for over two years.  Unless the Democrats capitulate and abandon their evil filibusters, our beloved Senator Frist will detonate the Nuclear option!

Imagine the glee that we will hear next week as Rush, Hannity, Ingraham and others jubilantly report that the senate is actually stepping up to do its constitutional duty and give its advice and consent to these judicial nominees.  Seven people have been tormented, slandered, libeled, misquoted, misconstrued, ostracized, excoriated, vilified, insulted, disparaged and viciously denigrated by a left that seeks only its own gain, consequences be damned.  It’s high time that their names should be cleared.

Of course, I am kidding.  I want Ann and Debbie to stay in the ranks of the conservative punditry, where their articles and interviews are the stuff of legend.  Seriously, I would like to see our President put John Ashcroft and Janice Rogers Brown on the court.  If Mr. Ashcroft is unwilling to sit on the high court, then I recommend that Miguel Estrada get the post.

I am thrilled that our beloved Senate Increasing Majority Leader Frist will be doing this next week.  His itchy finger is on the red button.  Press it!  Press that red button right into the Oval Office (if Condi doesn’t run of course)!!
