Mr. DeLay: Can I Have an Autographed Mugshot?

Tom DeLay, in the latest development in the witch hunt that Ronnie Earle has launched against him, turned himself in to be photographed and fingerprinted on the trumped-up, legally-insufficient phony kangaroo-court charges brought against him.  I was expecting the worst.  I was expecting the ugly mugshot, complete with the numbers and the like.  There must be someone out there in Houston, where he turned himself in, who either likes Mr. DeLay, or understands what kind of a person Mr. Earle is.  Why?  Get a load of this "mug shot:"

This is a mug shot?  It looks like a publicity photo!  I bet that Ronnie Earle wasn’t expecting this!  Neither were the Democratic hacks who pass themselves off as the press in this country.  This photograph is complimentary to Tom DeLay!

I want the Congressman to start sending out autographed copies of his mug shot!  Put it on T-Shirts!  Slogan?  Political Prisoner Mug Shot!  How’s that?  I think that Tom DeLay is a hero of the Conservative movement.  For him to smile and be nice when being framed for a non-existent crime is a testament to his fundamental goodness.

"Ronnie Earle, that horrible excuse for a public servant, has a history of making up criminal acts against successful Texas Republicans.  It’s high time that we figure out a way, a legal way, to get him the hell out of office, and hopefully, disbarred."

Ronnie Earle, that horrible excuse for a public servant, has a history of making up criminal acts against successful Texas Republicans.  It’s high time that we figure out a way, a legal way, to get him the hell out of office, and hopefully, disbarred.  I am sure that Kay Bailey Hutchison and Ken Mattox would be among those to help out in the long-overdue removal of this public menace from office.

As for Tom DeLay, we’ll know on Friday if he is in true danger of being railroaded.  The judge assigned to Mr. DeLay’s case, Bob Perkins, is an extreme leftist who has donated his personal money to both John Kerry and moveon.org.  That scares me.  Generally speaking, moveon.org has expressed opinions about Mr. DeLay that make Ronnie Earle look like Mother Teresa.  Can we look at Judge Perkins’ donations as a bias against Mr. DeLay?  Not if he dismisses the indictments, both of which are fatally flawed in both the law and the facts.  In fact, if Judge Perkins has the cajones to be true to the law tomorrow morning and send Mr. DeLay on his way as a free man, we’ll immediately induct him into our Liberals with Integrity section.  That is not intended to bribe Judge Perkins, who probably does not even read Conservativity. He will have earned that by standing up to the chief Democratic hack in Texas’ only Democratic county.  He will, if he upholds the law, also be subject to the scathing attacks of the Left.  They eat their own if they don’t toe the line.

I am not that optimistic.  Judge Perkins has shown himself as an extreme leftist.  Mr. DeLay may be better served by securing a venue change to Sugar Land, where he hails from, or in Houston, where he obviously has friends in the law enforcement community.  But that is for trial.  There should be no trial of anyone except Ronnie Earle!  We will see in the next day what happens.

Mr. DeLay, please send out autographed mug shots.  I’ll donate to TRMPAC for one!  Free Tom DeLay!  Free Tom DeLay!  Free Tom DeLay!
