Leftist Media Resorts to Special Effects

Originally posted at 12:41PM CDT on 10-26-2005:  I really love a TV show.  It’s named Stargate SG-1 and is presently on the Sci-Fi network.  SG-1 is about a secret program where American soldiers travel to other planets via the Stargate, an ancient device that opens wormholes that permit instant long-distance space travel.  In SG-1, the principal villains over the first seven seasons were a race of parasitic snake-like creatures that inhabited human bodies and played God -- literally.  They were called the Go’Auld, and the way that you could tell that a person was taken over by one was a flash of bright whiteness in their eyes.  Makes the person look pretty evil!  As shown below, someone in the Leftist press also watches SG-1, and has decided that Condoleeza Rice is, or should be, a Go’Auld.

"USA Today got a hold of the picture and published it last week alongside an article.  However, after USA Today got a hold of the picture, well, it was ’edited.’ "

Here is the before picture, which Michelle Malkin hunted down from Yahoo España.  USA Today got a hold of the picture and published it last week alongside an article.  However, after USA Today got a hold of the picture, well, it was "edited."  Condi got possessed by the mythical SG-1 snake creature.  Although the paper has stonewalled Michelle and others who have made comment upon the issue, there is one way you can see that this is exactly what happened:  Look for yourselves!

Here is the "after possession" picture.  So now, in the "eyes" of the Left (pun intended), Condi Rice is a demon.  A parasite-possessed evil being.

Am I the only one who is getting sick and tired of this continuous barrage of childish tactics that the Left wing employs?  This is not the only example of the Leftist media using special effects to try to make our President and his advisers look bad - literally.  There’s a doctored picture showing Karl Rove being forcibly lead away by arresting police officers.  There’s a modified shot that appears to show President Bush giving a Nazi salute.

It’s childish.  It’s churlish.  It’s ridiculous.  The haters of Liberty are trying to project their hate of our liberty upon those who love it, in an intentional effort to deceive the people.  Let’s hope and pray that the people continue to be wise enough to reject their idiocy.

UPDATED:  USA TODAY has removed the offending picture from its web site, and issued a non-apologetic retraction.
