Merry Christmas -- Except for the Democrats

Well, the numbers for the Christmas season have come in.  While the mainstream media has been reporting, with no small amount of self-satisfaction, that this Christmas season would be "mediocre," the truth has been published.  The sugar-plum dreams of economic malaise that have been in the heads of the Democratic party have been dashed.  The number is in:  The 2005 Holiday season was 8.7% better than 2004.  Amazon.com has reported 108 million orders for the 2005 Holiday season!

"This merry news is, of course, the last thing the Democrats wanted.  These increased sales will lead to increased profits, more tax revenue, lower deficits and, generally happiness among the growing number of prosperous Americans."

This merry news is, of course, the last thing the Democrats wanted.  These increased sales will lead to increased profits, more tax revenue, lower deficits and, generally happiness among the growing number of prosperous Americans.  That, in turn bodes well for the GOP.  Iraq’s third election was a smashing success, notwithstanding the disgruntled vote-tampering accusations of Saddam loyalists and other election losers. Those allegations are so ludicrous that the America-hating United Nations refused to even launch a cursory investigation.  In addition, the terrorists in Iraq (the Democrats and their operatives in the media coddingly call these amoral thugs "insurgents") are finding it more and more difficult to carry out any operations.  This is on top of moderated gas prices, the Fed’s announcement that interest rate hikes are essentially over, and the stock market, which is pushing against all of the "bad news" (a good deal of which is liberal propaganda) to generate a positive year.

So for the Left, which has pinned its unrealistic hopes for regaining power on the misery of our countrymen, this Christmas was as bleak as the reporters made it out to be.  These media types, who unabashedly cheer for the Leftists in the newsroom during elections, look at the GOP as evil, because we actually believe that the Founders were right to limit government.  They hate the idea of people actually being equal, because it means that they cannot honestly look upon themselves as superior to the rest of us.  They need us to perpetually suffer so that they can be there to perpetually remedy that suffering.  Therefore, the idea that this country and its people can prosper without their "help" (read: absolute choking control) is hateful to them.  This makes our actual prosperity a complete catastrophe to these tyrants.

"The Left is getting desperate.  They firmly believe that power and control are theirs by right; they believe that the Right is evil because we’re too simple and too simplistic.  They have abandoned the Keep-it-simple-stupid principle because it shows the folly of their mindset."

The Left is getting desperate.  They firmly believe that power and control are theirs by right; they believe that the Right is evil because we’re too simple and too simplistic.  They have shunned the keep-it-simple-stupid principle because it shows the folly of their mindset.  Their shades-of-gray, morality-is-evil approach to everything gives them personal security.  When they see people who adhere to strong moral convictions prospering, they become confused and depressed.  Their way is the only way to them; they are best and all others are fools.  In the process, they will do anything to regain power.  This desperation is only exacerbated as each successive piece of good news for America comes out.

So this is a truly depressing time for the Left.  Remember that 2006 marks the 30th anniversary of the last year that the Democrats got a majority in a presidential election.  Were it not for Ross Perot, it would certainly mark the last time that the Democrats won a presidential election.  As we grow more prosperous, as our security is visibly improved because of the Iraq victory, the people get more and more convinced that the GOP is the party that makes sense.  As they lose their grip on power, the Democrats have also lost their grip on reality.  Their response to this situation is to move even farther to the Left, giving the people a scare they won’t soon forget.  The end result will be even more personal freedom and prosperity for the people as they vote out even more Leftists.  Merry Christmas!  It’s a joyous time for those who truly love America.
