Donald Trump is Soaring Before He even Takes Off

Donald Trump is soaring in the polls as of today, the 3rd day of the Democrat National Convention. Cheerleading speeches by Bill Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Obama, and Elizabeth “An Insult to Pocahontas” Warren have done nothing to help the tone-deaf spectacle of lunacy in Philadelphia.

What has been the response? Mrs. Clinton continues to fall in the polls as her own convention is ongoing, and Mr. Trump has soared to a seven-point lead in the LA Times tracking poll. In the RCP poll averages, the Likely voter polls average to Trump +3. Trump also leads the two latest, and three of four, registered voter polls. This result is coming dangerously close to an anti-bounce for the leftists.

In the RCP poll averages, the Likely voter polls average to Trump +3. Trump also leads the two latest, and three of four, registered voter polls. This result is coming dangerously close to an anti-bounce for the leftists.

Why is this happening? The answers aren’t difficult.

While the press decried the GOP convention as divided and divisive, which the leftist media covered with open contempt, it came off with no street protests and a minor floor issue from the now-silenced #NeverTrump crowd.

While in Cleveland, the GOP saluted the heroes who serve in our police forces (The term “officer” is insufficiently respectful), the Democrats lived up to their jack-ass logo and brought the mother of Michael Brown of Ferguson, MO onto the stage. Mr. Brown died after he attacked a police hero and tried to seize his weapon, and the hero defended himself. That poor man lives in fear, without his job, because the mob wants him dead to this day. The people see the way that this hero was abused.

While the RNC reached out to lawful immigrants and minorities, the DNC put illegal immigrants onto its stage (in violation of Federal law) to give sob stories about how they might be made to pay a price for breaking our laws.

While the country was repulsed by the body-parts-selling side business of the butchers at Planned Parenthood – and the people persecuted in Houston with criminal charges for uncovering this abomination were exonerated – the Democrats had one person on stage bragging of her abortion and also gave a prime spot to the president of PP.

While the GOP rallied behind Mr. Trump and booed Senator Cruz when he held back his endorsement, the Democrats are still experiencing a loud anti-Clinton protest from Sanders supporters on the streets and the convention floor. Mr. Sanders personal plea for unity has not had the hoped-for result. Mrs. Clinton steered the Democrat platform so far left that Josef Goebbels and Karl Marx would be awestruck, but that has not sated the Sanders supporters.

While the press was apoplectic at a joke from Donald Trump asking the Russians to hand over the missing 30,000 emails (to the FBI – they forgot to report that part of the joke), accusing Mr. Trump through their hyperventilating gasps of false witness of asking the Russians to commit espionage, the vast majority of America saw the joke – and how much the press carries the water for the leftists.

It is no surprise that Mr. Trump is soaring in the polls. He is connecting with the people.

It is no surprise that Mr. Trump is soaring in the polls. He is connecting with the people. He promises radical change – with specifics – in a year where the whole country is dissatisfied with the way things are. The leftists are promising four more years of what everyone hates.

The people don’t think that Mrs. Clinton’s three decades in Washington make her able to solve their problems, because they see Washington as the cause of their problems. And, as is usually the case, the people are correct.

Hillary Clinton has outspent Donald Trump by more than an order of magnitude and is still losing – and losing ground – during her convention week. Will she be worse off tomorrow after her acceptance speech? I think that the answer is yes. What will happen when Trump-Pence goes into full mode. The ads I’ve seen are not attack ads against Mrs. Clinton; she and her cronies appear to have no need for help to insert foot in mouth. Instead these are optimistic and warm ads that remind us of Reagan 1980. That is a smart move. I’m impressed.

There are an increasing number of pundits, some of them former Never-Trump types (e.g., Karl Rove), who now see a Trump victory. Some are predicting a large victory or perhaps a landslide. A Trump landslide could increase GOP majorities in both houses of Congress, perhaps up to 61 Senators. If we hit that number, then the leftists get to sit in a corner and pout as the GOP undoes their disastrous policies and we are put onto a track to prosperity.

The poll shift we see now is the first indication that these pundits know that of which they speak. Donald Trump is soaring now, and he has only taxied to the runway. A take-off is imminent.
